Kids have an ‘arr-mazing’ time at Pirate Tales event at Pyramids

Children entertained by pirates

Pyramids Shopping Centre has flown the flag for pirate-land lover relations following a popular half-term event, which saw 400 children and their families having a fun-packed time with a gang of pirates.

The captain and his crew of pirates caused quite a scene at Pyramids when their ship docked at the shopping centre and visitors were entertained with mischievous tales from the sea. The free event also saw attendees enjoying ‘ooh arrrts’ and crafts and a variety of games during the two-day shenanigans.

“Everyone had fantastic amounts of fun at Pirate Tales and I’m pleased to say that nobody was asked to walk the plank,” said Derek Millar, centre director at Pyramids. “Our visitors heard some legendary stories about the pirates’ adventures and the craft workshops were thoroughly enjoyed, too. There was great creativity on show, with children making some impressive, colourful pirate masks.

“The event went down a storm, so thank you to all who attended. We hope it was a highlight of the half-term break.”
