Pyramids raises a toast to Roast

Pyramids Shopping Centre recently welcomed rotisserie chicken specialist Roast to its line-up, with the new food-on-the-go outlet winning over customers with its finger-licking recipes and top customer service.

The latest arrival at the Birkenhead shopping centre has a menu stuffed with crowd-pleasing favourites, with chicken being the star of the show and served in a variety of ways including in burgers, wraps, baguettes, popcorn-style bites and of course, roasted to perfection, as well as breakfast favourites.

The three-strong team behind Roast began the business in February 2018 in Preston but it all started in Liverpool at a family butchers, run and owned by Stephen Banks and Stephen Porter along with Dean Yates.

The friends realised there was a gap in the market for high-quality food-to-go at brilliant prices, so the idea of Roast was born. Fast forward to today, and products are made from locally-sourced ingredients, the chicken is still breaded by hand and the sausages are still made at the butcher’s shop where it all began.

Visitors have been flocking to Roast since it opened at the shopping centre last month and have really taken to its menu. Allan Beaumont, operations manager at the Pyramids Shopping Centre, said: “We are so pleased with how well Roast complements our offering and has brought a new kind of energy to Birkenhead, as so many people are talking about it.

“We knew our shoppers would be excited for this new outlet, as the menu offers something a little bit different, it’s all incredibly tasty and expectations have been exceeded,” Allan continued. “The team is also very talented in creating moreish flavours and we’re really proud that Roast is now part of the Pyramids family.

“We are fully committed to bringing great independent and well-known names to Pyramids that offer convenience, great value and service and Roast fits the bill perfectly. We wish the team every success with us.”

Dean Yates, founder of Roast, said: “Not only are we happy to be serving fantastic, quality food at a great price but by opening Roast at Pyramids Shopping Centre in Birkenhead, we have been able to employ 12 local people from within the area on both full and part-time situations.

“I’m extremely pleased we are able to offer job security to these people by bucking the trend in these tough retail times. Shopping in the Pyramids really does tick all the boxes for every type of customer, hence why it was so important that our brand joined this vibrant, appealing scheme.”
