Pyramids Shopping Centre is warming up for the arrival of the World’s Strongest Man 2017, Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall, who will be making a special guest appearance at the opening of sports supplement store, T-Nutrition.
T-Nutrition – a north west heavyweight in sports nutrition and bodybuilding supplements – is relocating from Birkenhead market to beefed up new premises at Pyramids on Saturday 15 July. Eddie has been called in to bring some extra muscle for the shop’s official ribbon cutting and will also be answering questions, taking photographs and signing autographs for fans from 10am to 12pm.
Derek Millar, Centre Manager at Pyramids, said: “The World’s Strongest Man opening a fitness paradise at Pyramids – it literally doesn’t get much bigger than that. The popularity of T-Nutrition has grown massively in the town over the last few years especially, and as one of the UK’s top fitness supplies distributor, we are thrilled that it’s now going to be part of our offering.”
T-Nutrition has been trading for seven years and carries more than 90 brands and 2,000 products including a mass of protein bars and powders, vitamins, health snacks and fitness and wellness products. Its CEO Trevor Goodwin explained that the business has transformed from a single retailer to three bricks and mortar stores and an online service, with plans to expand into Europe.
Trevor, who was named North West Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012, said: “Throughout every step of the businesses growth we have stuck by our motto, ‘nothing but the best’, and this move into the heart of Birkenhead will only help build the brand and our reputation even further both nationally and locally,” he said. “We have a strong reputation to uphold and our new premises mean we can up the level of service, now opening seven days a week with new extended opening hours daily too.
“As our customers know, we don’t do things by halves so we thought who better than the strongest man in the world, ‘The Beast’, to join us for this celebration? He’s a force to be reckoned with and that’s the vision we have for our brand as a retailer in the north west – the alignment is spot on for us,” added Trevor, who, alongside T-Nutrition was recently featured on the BBC Newsbeat documentary, Addicted to Protein.
For priority entry to meet Eddie, VIP wristbands are available, but limited to 120 spaces, thus guaranteeing every wristband holder a chance to meet and greet the World’s Strongest Man 2017. These are available to anyone purchasing ‘The Beast Stack’ – a supplements and accessories package synergistically designed to build lean muscle – on a first come, first served basis while stocks last.
Customers will also be able to enjoy free ice-cold protein smoothies, which will be available in 16 Ben & Jerry’s flavours, and ‘protein’ pizza – a low in calories and carbohydrates twist on the classic takeaway – which will have eight toppings to choose from.
Derek concluded: “It’s a truly amazing coup to welcome Eddie to Pyramids so we advise people to turn up early to avoid disappointment as it’s going to be a huge event. We look forward to T-Nutrition being at the centre and we wish Trevor and his team all the very best.”
